John J. Lopinot is a photographer specializing in nature and underwater photography, personalized photography instruction, Apple computer instruction and professional assignments. He is a certified Florida Master Naturalist.
He worked as a photojournalist and as the Deputy Director of Photography at the Palm Beach Post for 33 years, retiring in 2008.
He is an award-winning photographer as well as a skilled instructor. In the past 30 years he has taught over 350 workshops.
He has won over 150 awards for his photography and newspaper design and has been a featured speaker and contest judge at many professional photography conferences.
His work has been widely exhibited in South Florida and his photographs have been featured in National Geographic magazine, Time, Newsweek, National Wildlife Magazine, The New York Times, USA Today, book covers, audio CDs, posters, calendars, billboards, advertisements, brochures and in numerous other national and international publications. He and his wife, Susan, have guided trips to the Galapagos Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, Ecuador, Roatan and Bonaire.
John worked for Apple Computers as a Specialist and Creative Instructor.
His corporate clients include Deloitte, The Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County, The Community Foundation and Palm Beach Atlantic University, among others.
He is a popular teacher and speaker and has many students repeat his workshops because they learn new techniques, have fun, make new friends and travel to exciting places.
